Lots of exciting updates coming this week

We have rebuilt the way that you message your team.  Now all of our emails and SMS messages are queued which will make your experience must faster.  The lastest updates to our API are about complete so that leagues and teams can display their schedule on their website.  We are working hard on our mobile solution which will be coming out very soon.  Lots of work is going on to make Ateamo more useful for players and captains.  Please stay tuned.  Keep the feedback coming.  This is your site…and it’s free!

Player Management Updates

We have heard tons of feedback that the updates we made a few months ago were not ideal and made the management of players a bit confusing.  We have taken this feedback and today launched the latest update of our team player management page.  In this release we have moved the player registrations to a column in the players table.  We have also added functionality that allows you to change the status of players, give players captains access or register new players with just one click.  The updates are outlined below:

Jersey Number



The first column shows the jersey number that is entered for the player. This number will be displayed on the team roster when printed.  To edit the number, click on the edit-icon icon to edit the player data.


Captain Status



The second column in the list is shows whether the players has captains privileges.  You can grant these privileges by clicking on the grey checkmark or revoke them by clicking on the green icon.


Player Registration


The third column shows the player registration status.  You can register the player by clicking on the grey checkmark icon.  You can hover over each icon to see what they mean.  We show the status for ‘incomplete’ (the player needs to complete the form), ‘unpaid’ (the registration payment has not been made, ‘pending’ (the league needs to activate the registration, and ‘active’ (the player registration is complete and the player should show up on your roster).


Player Status



This column allows you to change the status of the player.  An inactive player will not see any updates from your team or see any events such as games or practices.  This player status does not effect the registration status for a player.  You can toggle the status by clicking on the icon.  If you see a invitation icon invite-iconthis means that the invitation has been sent to the player.


Edit Player



Finally, the last column has the edit player icon.  This allows you to edit the players information (photo, name, dob, gender and jersey number) so that their information is correct.  We will be making enhancements to this in the very near future.  Your players can select to not allow captains to edit this information if they like by updating their profile account settings.

Invite players to join your team

Managing your team’s roster is now much easier.  There is no limit on the number of players you can have on your team.

To access your team’s roster, go to your team’s page and click on the ‘Manage Team’ button.

Initially you will see only your active players.  If you want to view all of your players, click on the checkbox next to ‘Active’ under the group filters.  This allows you to toggle the view for your roster.  To add a new player click on the ‘+” button at the top right.

To add a new player you need to enter their first name, last name and email address.  This will add them to your roster and send them an invitation to join your team.  Each player must use a unique email address.  If your team is registered with a league or tournament you can automatically register them by clicking the checkbox next to the name of the registration.

Once you have added your players they will show up in your roster as a pending player.   The email that is sent to the player has a link to join your team.  Once they have completed this process they will be activated on your roster.  The registration for the player will be activated once the fee has been paid and the league activates the player.

Edit your team’s colors and name

We added a new tab to the Team Manager today which allows you to edit your team’s colors (badge) and team name.  We’ll be adding additional information here in the next few days.


To update your team’s name, go to your team’s profile page on Ateamo and click on the ‘Manage Team’ button.  You must be a captain or administrator to manage the team.



Once you are in the manager, click on the ‘Edit Team’ tab.  You can update your team’s colors by clicking on the badge.  You can also update your team’s name by changing the name in the space provided.


New Print Roster link location

We have received feedback that the location to print your rosters was not clear.  We updated this today and hopefully this will solve the issue.  The rosters are now below the team details.  They are labeled with the league and season name.

Where do I make a payment?

Ateamo should make the process of paying for your player or team registration as simple as possible. We have made a number or improvements for how these payments are handled. Today we released an additional update which will give you a very noticeable notification when you have outstanding payment requests. You will now see a large orange bar at the bottom of your page whenever you have an outstanding, un-paid item. You should see something like the image below.

Take a tour of our next release

Now is your chance to chime in and let us know if we missed anything.  We are still working through some small bugs but we want your feedback.  Please visit the beta web address below to test drive our next release which is due out very soon.  We have rebuilt the site from the ground up.  Our focus with this release has been making the site easier to use for captains and players.  We will be outlining a few features to help you navigate.



You will see all notifications in one place now.  Whether you receive an invite to join a team, a league opens up registration or you have an outstanding payment with a league or team you will find it here.  We will also be using this notifications widget to help you complete your profile or registration.  Be sure to use the arrows in the upper right to navigate to additional notifications.





Next Event

The Next Event widget shows you your next events.  You will see practices, friendlies, games and league matches here.  You can view the number of players that are “In” for your game, submit your rsvp and view the event details from this widget.    Be sure to use the arrows in the upper right to navigate to additional events.






New primary navigation

Our main goal with this release was to rethink how captains manage their teams and communicate with their players.  We wanted to make it easy for captains and player to communicate about registrations, matches, team fees or any other team related function or activity.  You can now send your team and/or teammate a message, remind them about an upcoming game, create a practice or game and create a new team directly from your homepage.




Calendar and Upcoming Schedule

View your months calendar at a glance to see when practices, games, league patches or friendlies you can easily tell which is which on the calendar.  Get a snapshot of your upcoming schedule for all your teams in one place.

You can now add your Ateamo schedule to your iCal, Gmail or Outlook calendar.  See the tip posted here.
